How to Remove a Google Event From Your Google Calendar
This post has been long overdue and today I reached my breaking point. So, please forgive my rant. I almost titled the post “How to Lose Friends and Create Enemies”!
Just as I’m about to add an appointment to calendar, I spot an event on my Google calendar blocking off 7.5 hours on a Saturday. What? Where did this come from? I don’t live in Illinois and won’t be in Illinois on Saturday. So, why is this on MY calendar?
Evidently, when you schedule and event on Google and invite others to the event, you also have the option of adding it to their calendar. This would probably be a great feature if used correctly. However, if you don’t know how to use it correctly, I would recommend that you don’t use it at all.
If you find others are adding their events to your calendar, the video below shows how you can remove the unwanted events from your calendar.

Websites for Accountants – Enrolled Agents – Premiere Tax
Carl Hanton, Enrolled Agent, in Bradenton, Florida contacted me after attending a local internet marketing master mind group in Sarasota. Carl had a well established website for his accounting and tax business. His site was an older site and was not using the WordPress platform. His site needed some updating and, more importantly, Carl knew he wanted a WordPress website. Being able to add fresh content to his site is important to him and being able to do it himself was a big plus. …Continue Reading

Popping Out A Website For Kettlicious Kettle Corn!
There’s only one word to describe this project – FUN! Fun people, fun product, fun photos and just a fun site to work on!
I was excited when Chris Tredinnick contacted me about creating a website for KettliciousKettleCorn.com. Chris and his partner, DiAnna Hudson, aka the Cornstars, have mastered the art of popping perfect kettle corn. They pop their corn at local events & festivities and they also sell their kettle corn online to customers who just want to enjoy a bag for themselves or send as a thank you gift to a friend, associate or family member. …Continue Reading
If your business is dependent upon potential customers finding you in the search results, choosing the right keyword(s) to drive traffic to your site is imperative and will play a big part in the success of your business. For the do-it-yourselfers out there, like myself, using the right keyword research tools can save you a lot of time and money.
Keyword Research Tools
Until recently, I relied heavily on the Google AdWords Keyword Tool for keyword research. It’s a great tool and it’s free, but drilling down to find the right keywords is very time consuming. …Continue Reading

Creating a Before & After Picture Collage Using Picmonkey
I’ve always found before & after photos interesting to look at and I don’t think I’m alone. I really enjoy the home makeovers on HGTV, but instead of watching the whole show, I tune in during the last 5 minutes just to see the before and after shots.
Marketing Your Product or Service With Before & After Photos
A great way to market the results of your product or service online is by taking before and after pictures and putting them together side by side in a collage and then sharing them on your website and social media platforms such as Facebook. …Continue Reading
We Can Now Add Websites for Fraternity Chapters to the CloudBloomers Portfolio!
It was truly a pleasure working with Charles Stephens and Michael Suarez to get their Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity chapter site up quickly. They had an existing WordPress site and it was on one of the default WordPress themes and was a little lackluster. With a fundraising golf tournament coming up shortly, announcements already sent out and no mention of the golf tournament on the old site, they were kind of in a bind to get something up quickly. Although time was of the essence, they didn’t just want to add the event info, they really wanted to start from scratch and have a new website that more accurately represented …Continue Reading
How to Resize and/or Crop Your Pictures Using PicMonkey
Of all the different tools available out there on the Internet, I have to say that PicMonkey is one of my favorites! It’s easy to use and the free version will let you resize your photos, crop them and you can even add text and other special effects to your images.
More Fun Photo Editing Tools
In addition to using PicMonkey to resize and crop pics, I like to use it to add frames to images and then decorate the frames with the fun little image overlays you’ll find on the site. There’s a great selection to choose from. The QR code to the left is an example of adding a frame and …Continue Reading
Using Facebook, you have the ability to create an event listing the details of your event including date and time, address and even a map for the location of the event. In the video below, I’ll walk you through the steps on how to create an event using your Facebook business page. You also have the ability to create an event using your personal profile, but in this tutorial, we’ll only be addressing creating one in your business page.
Once you’ve created the event, you can share it on your business page and you can switch back to posting as yourself, rather than your business, and invite your Facebook friends to the event. Other options you have …Continue Reading
Sharing Blog Posts on Facebook and Other Social Media Sites
When it comes to blog posts and social media, we like to say that “Sharing is caring”. If you’ve ever heard about a good deal or you read about something that you found helpful or entertaining, naturally, you want to share it with your friends. As a blogger, I want to make it easy for you to share any of my blog posts that you find interesting or helpful. The way I do that is by adding what are known as “share” buttons to my post. On some websites you’ll see the share buttons at the top of the post or at the bottom or maybe at the top and the bottom. You’ll even see them on either side of the website’s pages. Share buttons come in all shapes and sizes and may simply be an icon representing a social media site or …Continue Reading

Don’t Want to be Bombarded with Facebook Notifications!
Since I’m a big fan of Facebook groups, I offered to co-admin the Facebook group for the TCOB Network. One big concern members of this newly formed group expressed about having a Facebook group was the fact that they didn’t want to be bombarded with all kinds of notifications every time someone posted something on the group page. The video below shows where you can login to your Facebook account settings to edit how you receive notifications from facebook. …Continue Reading

There were a few however, that said my instructions did not work for them. So, I’ve created a new tutorial demonstrating the steps again in hopes that it works for everyone this time around. …Continue Reading
